Mallory Grant
Don't feel, Isabella. Don't fall in love, otherwise, you'll feel this, over and over again.
I would never fall in love, never. At least that's what I thought, what I had always told myself, until I met her.
I sighed, resting my head on top of my arm as I stared at Hayden's pinky finger. I could... touch it. Open up to him, tell him about my crazy life. "I should probably reject you," I said, watching his hand twitch.
He let out a deep breath, and I could hear the sound of his head hitting against the wall gently. "Then why don't you?" He asked, his voice steady.
Absently, I lowered my hand to rest on the ground, my finger inches from his. I could touch it, loop my finger through his... but I didn't. Did he want me to reject him? Or was he scared I was going to?
In the end... it didn't matter. Because in the end... I couldn't reject him, even if I wanted to. "Because I'm scared I'll just always be alone," I said with a sigh.
"Whatever you do, don't go into that field, and if you see the wolves, run."
"The wolves are big and bad, and they'll devour you. Especially the alpha wolves. Alpha wolves are the biggest and strongest of all, the meanest and most cruel. If you see an alpha wolf, run, Tessa. Otherwise, they'll kill you."
